Trerice House and Garden
An intimate Elizabethan manor and a Cornish gem, Trerice remains little changed by the advances in building fashions over the centuries. Today the renowned stillness and tranquillity of Trerice, much prized by visitors.
Following the Prime Minister’s advice on Monday 16 March 2020, the National Trust’s Director-General Hilary McGrady said that NT pay-for-entry sites including houses, cafés and shops, will close on Friday 20 March.
Where possible, they will keep as many of their gardens and parklands open, free of charge, alongside coast and countryside, to encourage the nation to enjoy open space, while observing social distancing measures.
A delightful small Elizabethan manor house, Trerice is an architectural gem hidden away from the world in a web of narrow lanes and still somehow caught in the spirit of its age.
Behind the Dutch-style gabled facade are ornate fireplaces, elaborate plaster ceilings and a collection of English furniture of the highest quality.
Walk around the beautiful garden and explore the stunning views. Come and see our knot garden as it continues to take shape. Trerice also features a shop, second-hand bookshop, restaurant and plant sales.
