Looe Live! is one of a kind three-day festival, that’s more of a friendly gathering where music and arts fill the streets in a whole town takeover. Over 100 performances are expected on the main stages, the streets and in venues across the whole town.
With five stages, including one on the beach, a comedy stage in the Guild Hall and classical music stage in Riverside church – expect a variety of musical genres from jazz to funk, rock, blues and country and western.
Friday (20th) welcomes ‘DJ royalty’ Trevor Nelson who’s bringing his exclusive Soul Nation classic soul and R&B set to the BBC Introducing beach stage, entertainment phenomenon Oh My God! It’s The Church, glam-rock icons Doctor and the Medics plus internationally renowned tribute bands The Bohemians and Fleetwood Bac.
On Saturday (21st) the mainstage hosts acclaimed singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner, successful country-duo The Shires and the legendary Level 42 – plus party band Dr Oz and reggae from Marley White.
Cornwall’s own ‘original buoy band’ The Fisherman’s Friends are taking to the mainstage on Sunday (22nd) afternoon. Joined by reggae/dub duo Radio Riddler (Brian Fast and Frank Benbini from Fun Lovin’ Criminals), celebrated bluesman Giles Robson and the eclectic, funk-fuelled Tankus The Henge.
It's a chance to hear some stellar music, fill up on local food and drink, dance on the sea front and get stuck into a full programme of activities and workshops across the town.
Looe Live! festival’s passions run far deeper than music; it’s a celebration that brings together all that is great about Looe’s community spirit.
