  • Fun family activities for February Half Term including the 'POOP TRAIL' Quiz!

Animals come in all different shapes and sizes and so does their poo! This is your opportunity to get the scoop on the poop with Paradise Parks fun and educational ‘Poop Trail’ Quiz. Learn how animals and birds use poop to define territory, establish status, find mates, build houses, and keep in touch with the rest of the species. Poop is also an ideal way of studying an animal without having to capture it… now that’s nifty.

NEW ‘poop’ display! Take a closer look at a variety of poo from different animals, these have been dried out and varnished so you can see how different they in size and texture and work out what food they eat! Includes animals like Red Panda, guinea pig, plus fossilized coprolite and even elephant dung! So, this Half Term come and sniff out the clues and look out for piles of info on this fun and educational trail. Once you have completed the Poop Trail, you can claim your official ‘Paradise Park Professor of Poop’ Certificate which will recognise your excellence in this field!

  • HALF TERM - ENRICHMENT SESSION with the Keepers 10am to 12noon, 11th to 18th February
Learn how to make fun, interesting, interactive enrichment food and toys which are key in encouraging a range of normal behaviours that birds and mammals find rewarding, providing them with mental stimulation, social interaction and exercise.

  • The penguins feeding happens twice a day so you may well be lucky enough to be nearby when they are fed by the keepers.

  • The JungleBarn Indoor Play Centre with giant slides, spinning discs, rope bridge, ladders, Astra Slide, the Big Blue, Drop and Double Drop slides and much more (To use the Indoor JungleBarn Play Centre you must book ‘PARK & JUNGLEBARN’ tickets or book the JungleBarn Afternoon Play Only session. Please see the booking page for more info.)

  • The Weekend Meet and Greet session at 11:45am weather permitting. Daily during February Half Term.
Near the stage on the picnic lawn. Weather permitting, with either (or maybe all) of the following… the beautiful ‘Frank’ the European Eagle Owl, our very chatty ‘Popeye’ the Double-yellow headed Amazon, and the lovely ‘Barney’ the Blue & Gold Macaw.

  • The 'Tropics' is the new open-air development which is home to tropical birds in spacious flights. To help protect our birds from bird flu, currently a short walk-through element in one bird enclosure and our small Tropical House are closed. Sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
  • In the Paradise Island outdoor play area climb the towers, slide into the 'river' and ride a rocking dolphin in this fun outdoor playground.

  • Enjoy the walk through Pets Corner with rabbits and guinea pigs.

  • There are 150 little bags of ‘Goat and Sheep Food’ which are 50p and available on entry.

  • On good weather days 'Zebedee' the Jungle Express Train may be taken out for a spin! You board the train just by the otter enclosure and set off on a small route round the house grounds (not round the whole Park) through the garden of Glanmor House, through the top section of the Parrot Jungle, then behind the scenes around the back of the house. There is a small charge of £1 per person.

Lots more details on what to expect from a visit to Paradise Park here.

You can keep up to date with all that is happening behind the scenes at the Park on Facebook , Twitter and Instagram.

The staff look forward to welcoming you to Paradise Park soon :-)
