Cornish Seal Sanctuary
After careful consideration, we have decided to temporarily close the Cornish Seal Sanctuary until further notice. The health and welfare of our staff and guests are our top priority, and this closure allows us to do our part to limit the spread of COVID 19. During this closure our dedicated team will continue to provide the best possible care for the animals in our Sanctuary. Tucked against the picturesque backdrop of the Helford River, the Sanctuary is a designated site of special scientific interest and an area of outstanding natural beauty. Events at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary
Locals Annual Ticket Sale

As Cornwall’s only working seal hospital, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary has become a crusader of animal welfare and a champion of our coastlines marine animals. The Sanctuary rehabilitates over 70 seal pups rescued from around the Cornish coastline, when visiting the Sanctuary you can meet seal pups who are going through rehabilitation ahead of being released back into the wild. We are also home to resident animals, who live here at the Sanctuary. Say hello to our Seals, Penguins, Otters, Sea Lions, Ponies, Goats and Sheep. The Sanctuary is set amongst 40 acres of beautiful woodland, the perfect resting point for enjoying views of the picturesque Helford River. Conservation enthusiasts can see our rescue, rehabilitation and release efforts in action and get involved with the Sanctuaries seasonal events calendar.
You can also take advantage of the Sanctuaries delicious menu which celebrates locally sourced food and drink. Enjoy a steaming mug of barista coffee and a Cornish pasty, just some of the many tasty treats we have on offer.
How do I get my Annual Ticket?
You can buy your pass at the Cornish Seal Sanctuaries admission desk throughout February. To purchase an annual ticket, you simply need to bring along proof of residence in Cornwall.

Sprint for Seals
Saturday 21st March 2020 at The Cornish Seal Sanctuary
Registration 8.30am - Run starts at 9.30am
Say hello to the seals and take in the view of the Helford estuary during our 3K muddy fun run!
All entrants receive an exclusive ‘Sprint for Seals 2020’ medal and entry to the sanctuary.
Open to all ages.
£12 under 16’s. £15 over 16’s.
Prizes will be awarded to the best fundraisers!
Please be aware that the run will encompass slopes, hills and muddy/bumpy areas.
