Snowdrop planting on Mother’s Day Weekend at Paradise Park

Snowdrop planting on Mother’s Day Weekend at Paradise Park, Cornwall

Mums and family members are invited to join in the snowdrop planting at Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary in Hayle between 11:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday 9th and Mothering Sunday 10th March with discounted entry.

Mother’s Day weekend discount. £5 off children and £7.50 off adult tickets when booking online using discount code ‘MOTHERSVISIT’. Valid for visits on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th March 2024 only. Cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts.

You just need to be happy to use one of the trowels, plus a few kneelers will be available, to dig a hole to tuck in the ‘in the green’ snowdrop plants.

Treat your mum to a walk around the Park, spring flower planting and maybe a Cornish cream tea or homemade cake or other delights from the Otter Pool Café.

Other daily events include twice daily otter feeding (look out for the pups who are almost as big as mum Pippin and dad Katarni) and penguin keeper talk and feeding time.

Director Alison explains “Snowdrops look beautiful and provide nectar for the first bees to emerge after the winter. Over the last few years, we have planted 8,000 snowdrops in the Woodland Walk area near the Fun Farm and it would be lovely to see you on Mother’s Day to help us add another 2,000 and make the carpet of white flowers even bigger next for February.”
