What to expect
At Polkerris Beach we welcome all levels of paddle boarders for lessons and seek to tailor sessions to best suit groups and conditions.
Our location is one of the safest and most charming in the country for learning and participating in SUP and the sheltered cove provides an easy launch spot and is ideal for practising close to the beach when conditions dictate.
Sessions are predominantly on the water, and often involve some in the water time! Full details of the session can be seen in the 'itinerary'.
On arrival to Polkerris you'll be kitted up in a nice wetsuit and then we'll hit the beach for a short briefing about conditions, kit , safety and relevant techniques and plan!
Beginner sessions typically cover paddle technique, stance, board trim and turning and can often include touring along the coast towards the gribbin headland, trying out some SUP yoga, mastering step back turns or taking part in wobble board games!
