The Idle Rocks Restaurant
Your Home from Home by the Sea
Our passionate team of chefs pride themselves on preparing authentic and inspiring dishes, conceived from sustainably produced local ingredients.
Led by Executive Head Chef Dorian Janmaat whose culinary philosophy has fresh, local and seasonal Cornish produce at the heart. We serve great Cornish produce, simply prepared, cooked and served. Sourced from our own doorstep, when we can forage, we do. When the markets area open, we are there. When the fisherman land their catch, we meet them on the harbour. Whilst we are very serious about the sourcing of our menu, the setting is relaxed, and the hospitality is genuine – providing a real home-from-home experience.
Our Kitchen, Restaurant and Bar team are energetic, passionate and driven to deliver this experience to all our guests. We pride ourselves on our innovative training and work closely with our suppliers to ensure our team are knowledgeable and inspired.
The Restaurant is open seven days a week, with dining on the terrace when the sun shines, which it usually does. A relaxed but lively atmosphere, with music playing, guests chattering, cocktails being created and a great wine list to mull over and enjoy. Non-resident guests are always welcome.
We host a number of dining events through the year with acclaimed Chef’s and restaurants, further information visit the website.
