Adrenalin filled attraction near Falmouth

An attraction on the outskirts of Penryn is bringing a touch of Italy to West Cornwall. Originating in the Alps during World War I to enable troops to cross mountains, a Via Ferrata is a climbing route like no other. Metal steps, ladders, suspension bridges and zip wires make it one of the most adrenaline-filled climbing activities worldwide, and now you can do it in a quarry near you!

Via Ferrata Cornwall is bringing the ultimate high challenge adventure activity to Cornwall, helping participants to conquer their fears, have fun and do something unique. Sharing BF Adventure’s 60 acre site near Penryn, Via Ferrata Cornwall will enable people to push their limits as they journey across historic granite quarries in an unforgettable adventure.

With training provided, participants will develop their climbing skills as they traverse across quarry walls over 20 meters high, conquer their fears on the High Wire Bridge where they’ll cross the quarry on a 70m long single strand of wire and leap from the clifftops on one of the most scenic zip-lines in Cornwall. This challenge caters for adventurous 8’s and over, with various difficulty levels.

They also have the Goodygrane Café on site, it's big on sourcing locally and offering work experience and training opportunities, particularly to the young people that BF Adventure supports through its charity work. Furthermore, 10% of sales will go towards helping these young people. Also in the pipeline is the development of a wild play area for children aged 3-10, as well as nature trails for the whole family to enjoy.
