Falmouth Tall Ships Regatta 2023

Tuesday 15th – Friday 18th August 2023. The tall ships are back in Falmouth! For the first time in nine years, Falmouth will once again host the start of the prestigious Tall Ships Race, Magellan Elcano.

The Race start, preceded by a Parade of Sail will be on Friday 18th August, time TBC. The Tall Ships fleet will then follow a racecourse to A Coruna, from 24 to 27 August, Lisbon from 31 August to 3 September and Cadiz from 7 to 9 September.

What to expect

The whole town will be involved in a packed programme of shore side activities and live music from 11.00am to 11.00pm daily, most of which is free.

The ships will leave Falmouth in a spectacular Parade of Sail to the start line off Falmouth Bay. Key viewing points for the Parade of Sail are Pendennis Point, Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, Maenporth, St Mawes, St Anthony Head and Rosemullion Head.
