Lamorna House Walking Holidays
...giving you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the coast and enjoy the cultural and culinary wonders of West Cornwall.
Our holidays are single base, staying at Lamorna House, where our holiday philosophy is ‘walk, rest andplay’. Our holidays are 6 nights, with 5 full days walking (or resting, or playing). We don’t have standard walking holidays. Each one of our walking holidays is different, because every one of our guests is different.
When you arrive, you are invited to settle in, unpack and relax before joining us in the Orangery for a welcome drink so we can get to know a little about you, and what you want, or don't want, from your holiday. We will then design a walking holiday which is completely personal to you.
Each day, after a good, healthy breakfast we will drive you to the start of your walk - in our campervan, Horace - and arrange a time to pick you up at the end.
The benefits of walking the south west coast path are endless and, happily, long-lasting. You will enjoy hours of peace, tranquillity and headspace, wonder at the wildlife and the seascapes and find unexpected inspiration. Whether you want five long days walking, short walks each day followed by a lazy pub or beach café lunch, or some walking and some days off, we strive to design the perfect holiday for you.
Comfortable rooms with TVs, DVD players and some little luxuries to help make your stay feel special. When you are not walking, or playing, you are welcome to relax in our lovely orangery or garden with a book or a jigsaw.
A good long walk breathing the fresh sea air does wonders for your health, fitness and stress levels. We hope you will go home feeling healthy, relaxed and energised. But we are sure you will also have lots of fun - as great are the challenges of this stretch of coastal walking, so are the rewards. And what is the challenge without the reward? We can usually plan your walk to finish with a sandy beach, refreshing sea swim, or the culinary delights from land, sea, vineyard and brewery served up in one of the many excellent cafes, bars and restaurants in West Cornwall.
