National Maritime Museum - Heritage Boat Tours
Hop aboard a boating gem and see a different view of Falmouth with a Heritage Boat Charter. Uncover more about the town’s fascinating maritime history, drink in the breathtaking views and discover a different way to explore the Cornish coastline.
The trip, which lasts an hour, starts and ends at the Museum, and takes in key Falmouth landmarks and beautiful river scenes. Each boat can take up to eight passengers plus crew and your charter won’t include anyone else from outside your group.
The charter includes a day pass to the Museum so after your trip on the water spend some time visiting the 15 galleries, our current major exhibition, Monsters of the Deep, the Tidal Zone, the Lookout Tower, plus much more!
The tours will operate from July 19th to September 24th
Jonik – 1930’s motor launch
Jonik is a 24ft (7.3m) motor launch built in Fowey in 1934. The builder, Percy Clemens, used the best quality timber available. She is built using silver spruce and teak and demonstrates excellent craftsmanship.
Emma – steam launch
Emma is a 22ft x 6ft teak-built steam launch. Although the original builder is unknown it’s believed Emma was built around 1912.
