We aim to guide you through an adventurous experience that will leave very little impact on the environment, but a lasting impression on you.
With over 30 years of experience in outdoor adventure holidays for families, groups and individuals, we know how to create the perfect balance between safety and fun. Whether you’re looking for a gentle introduction or a complete adrenalin rush, all of our activities will give you memories that last a lifetime. We offer coasteering, kayaking, paddle boarding, climbing and survival skills sessions at various locations on the Lizard Peninsula and in Hayle.
Our coasteering sites work at all states of tide and offer the ultimate coastal experience. The journey includes swimming, scrambling on the rocks, jumping off the cliff, exploring caves and trying to stay on rocks as the waves wash around you! You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, just happy in deep water.
We have three venues for our kayaking adventures: Mullion Harbour and Cadgwith Cove on the Lizard (3 hours) and Hayle Harbour (2 hours). Choose between a coastal sea adventure on the Lizard or a shorter sheltered trip on the Hayle estuary. Timings of sessions in Hayle will vary due to the tide times.
Stand up paddle boarding is the new challenge of standing up on a board and using a paddle to glide over the water. These trips start from Cadgwith Cove (3 hours) or Hayle Harbour (2 hours). Cadgwith Cove offers spectacular coastal scenery and is a traditional Cornish village complete with thatched cottages. Hayle is a small town in the beautiful St Ives Bay where you can paddle up the estuary to the shops and stop off for an ice cream on the way!
The climbing is at the beautiful location of Old Lizard Head and the cliff is at a great angle for beginners and gives breath taking views across the bay to Kynance Cove. It will give you a great opportunity to build on any experience you may have on climbing walls. We provide all the safety equipment, all you need is warm, comfortable clothing (stretchy leggings are good) and climbing shoes or trainers.
Survival Skills are offered in the woods or at the beach. In the woods you could be making dens, whittling wood, lighting fires without matches and skinning and gutting rabbits (optional!). Survival Skills on the Beach is held at Polurrian hotel, near Mullion. Get creative and use natural resources to craft and carve. Learn how to light fires without matches; go on a scavenger hunt; forage for edible food or make mini rafts for rock pools.
For all water activities we can provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets. All you would need to bring is swimwear, a towel, some old trainers to wear in the water (plus old shorts for coasteering). All our guides are fully trained and very experienced.
Our activities are for all abilities and ages 8 upwards. We can offer survival skills in the woods or on the beach to children that are younger. If you’re looking for the best family activities in Cornwall, or a kayaking or coasteering training course, we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of all our customers.
