Music and Making Day at the Cornwall Regimental Museum
As part of the Fun Palaces movement, Cornwall’s Regimental Museum in Bodmin is holding a Music and Making day on Sunday the 8th of October, where visitors are invited to come along and try their hand in special poppy creation workshops.
The textile poppies made during the workshops will be put towards our Handmade Tribute to the Fallen Soldiers of the DCLI project, and will become part of our 2018 exhibition to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.
Fun Palaces is ‘a movement promoting community at the heart of culture, with an annual weekend of arts and science action created by, for and with local people.
The 8th October will be a day of fun, with our pop up café serving hot and cold drinks and cake, live music demos, and lots of hands on craft activities for visitors to try.
There will be live music throughout the morning:
Moor Harmony – Women’s Barbershop Chorus. 10:30 – 11:00 am.
Songbirds – Cornwall based women’s vocal group. 11:30 – 12:00. .
