Tropical Pressure Festival
An exciting and inspiring festival to celebrate the rich cultures of Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean on the cliffs of Cornwall. Tropical Pressure Festival brings a packed programme of live music, food, dance and culture to Porthtowan.
This family friendly event, with camping in the Eco Park’s spacious grounds overlooking the sea, will see the north Cornish coast come alive with the sounds, sights and flavours of 3 continents. In 2019 the festival featured all the way from Colombia, LA 33 playing urban rhumba, Lindigo from the Reunion Islands, plus musicians from Ethiopia, Congo, Sudan and across Europe.
How can visitors take part?
Entry to the festival is by ticket, which includes 3 nights' camping in the Eco Parks' stunning, grassy site, and access to all the events.
How is the event suitable for kids?
Tropical Pressure is a family-friendly event, with a dedicated Kids Creative zone running all weekend, and a busy programme of free workshops and activities. Kids under 5 are admitted for free, with those aged between 5 and 15 paying half price. Situated in a compact and secure site, and with a programme of live music from around the world, it's the perfect environment to introduce children to the festival scene.
