DadFest Cornwall 2018
DadFest Cornwall takes place over the weekend of 22-23 September and there are lots of great activities for male carers and their children to enjoy. We will be making rafts, cooking on fires, star-gazing, doing green woodworking, learning archery, making blackberry jam, going on a bat walk, making dens and lots more. Dads and children will arrive at lunch-time on Saturday 22nd and spend the afternoon and evening in the woods, and then camp overnight. We will have hot chocolate, dad jokes and stories of course around the campfire. On Sunday there will more activities and we aim to finish about 2pm, after homemade pizzas. All dads are welcome wherever they live with children all ages but you do need to book a ticket’.
Organiser and founder of ‘The Dangerous Dads Network’, Ian Blackwell, who is helping to run activities at DadFest Cornwall is looking forward to another fantastic festival: ‘DadFest is the UK’s only festival just for dads, male carers and their children. The event is small and we focus on fun, adventurous activities including learning bushcraft skills, campfire cooking and woodland games. It is a great opportunity for dads and their children to spend some quality time together, and to give mum a break for a night. All the events are run by qualified and experienced leaders and the event is always popular with dads coming from across Cornwall and beyond’.
Tickets: £36 for dad/ male carer; £18 per child. The ticket price includes lunch on Saturday and lunch on Sunday, but not Saturday evening (which is a BBQ) and not Sunday breakfast.
