Teddy Bear Picnic
As part of the special event: Paddington at Bodmin & Wenford Railway on the 12th & 13th May, we will be holding family activities inspired by WW1 pocket bears, little mascots sent from home to keep the soldiers safe. Pocket bears are special little teddies, made very small and with their eyes high up on their head so that they could see out of a soldier’s pocket. They were often carried around everywhere the soldier went. Those little bears must have seen the world.
During the weekend visitors will be able to make your own pocket bear to take home, as well as following the special bear trail around Bodmin Keep.
There is no extra charge for the activities, our usual museum entry rates apply. If you already have an annual pass your visit will be included. These activities are in addition to the unmissable Paddington themed activities just over the road at Bodmin Railway. Find out more about the exciting activities and entertainment inspired by the Paddington books and films on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway website, here.
Don’t miss this bear-y exciting event!
