Banyan Tree Crafternoon

Join us to make your own Banyan tree picture. Banyans are the national trees of India and begin their life as an epiphyte or plant that grows on another plant. This event celebrates the redisplay of our Indian gallery.

 

April 1st – 19 10am-5pm

Games on Gallery

Try some traditional Indian games including Pachisi and Mancala on gallery. Use strategy and tactics to beat your opponent. This event celebrates the redisplay of our Indian gallery.

 

April 2nd, 6th, 15th

Indian Folktales

Join us to listen to some well known Indian folktales. This event celebrates the redisplay of our Indian gallery.

 

April 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th  12pm-3:30pm

Henna Hand Crafternoon

Create your own henna hand patterns on card to take home.  This event celebrates the redisplay of our Indian gallery.

Classical Indian Dance Performance and Family Dance Workshop

Enjoy a classical Indian dance performance by Charlotte from InspirAsian Dance followed by a family Bollywood and Bhangra workshop.

History of Quilting Talk

Join quilt maker Sue Maddox for a fascinating talk about the history of quilting.  The talk is part of our Indian gallery redisplay events and will include an opportunity to see some of Sue’s beautiful antique quilts.

Patchwork and Quilting Demonstration

Learn about quilting and patchwork with quiltmaker Sue Maddox during this demonstration. This demonstration is part of our Indian gallery redisplay events.

Peacock Crafternoon

Join us to make a peacock, the national bird of India to take home. This event celebrates the redisplay of our Indian gallery.

Knit, Stich and Natter

Celebrate Creativity and Wellbeing Week by getting together with like-minded people, have a good chat and a cream tea!  Anyone interested in knitting, crocheting and sewing is welcome to bring along their own projects. All abilities welcome for this free event.
