Bodmin & Wenford are hosting two evenings of food and entertainment celebrating Cornish summertime with heritage steam travel and home grown produce and talent!
For the 20th July event we welcome The Kitchen, Atlantic Brewery and The Grenaways.
Food for the evening will be provided by Ben and Rory from The Kitchen, Falmouth. The best way to understand what The Kitchen is all about is to let them describe it in their own words."In Cornwall, the larder stretches from the sea to the shoreline, from the land to woods. So we don’t import anything, and most is on the doorstep. All freshly grown, shot or foraged" Sounds good to us! With a meat and a vegetarian option, the menu is still to be confirmed, but to quote Rory: “The only known is that it'll be Lamb from the Cornish Lamb Co (really amazing, organic farm; the lambs are left to prong in the fields with their families and grow a little older).
The team from Atlantic Brewery will also be on hand with a fully stocked bar and the chance to sample their full array of delicious tipples.
Entertainment will come from The Grenaways, the band will be playing as an acoustic trio with a mellow set and then something to liven things up later in the evening.
For the 31st August event we welcome Jamie Oliver's Fifteen who will be bringing along friends from Sharp’s Brewery, Polgoon Vineyard & Orchard and Tarquin’s Cornish Gin.
They will be offering a ‘totally Cornish’ four course menu including canapes, starter, main course (with a vegetarian alternative) and dessert.
The evenings start from 6pm.
Tickets are £49.50 per person including food, entertainment, steam train travel and the chance to sample a selection of drinks. There will also be a bar available.
Please advise whether you require meat or vegetarian (or have any special dietary requirements) when booking.
