The Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival
Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival announces ASH to play the main stage with additional performances from Fun Lovin Criminals, The Wurzels and Elvana. Popping up in the grounds of Healey’s Cyder Farm from Friday 11th – Sunday 13th September 2020, Cornwall’s favourite cider party welcomes back the infamous Rattle Olympics, the Zen Den and much-loved Orchard Silent Disco.
Celebrating all things apples, this sweet little festival is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the ever-popular and refreshing beverage with over 50 different cask ciders flowing fresh and fast. Throughout the three-day event, festival guests can expect performances from national and local artists, comedy sessions, tractor rides, welly wanging, barrel rolling and an abundance of delicious food.
Revealing the first wave of acts for 2020, Northern Irish alternative rock band ASH will headline the main stage on Friday13th September. Having continually excelled both live and on record, ASH burst into earshot hitting massive heights in 1996 with debut album ‘1977’. Transforming from local school heroes to all an all-conquering, chart-topping band, ASH revealed new album ‘Teenage Wildlife’ in February 2020 which party-goers can expect to hear a batch of tracks from when they play live at this year’s Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival.
Bringing the world’s finest and only purveyors of cinematic hip hop, rock ‘n’ roll, blues-jazz and Latino soul to the grounds of Healey’s Cyder Farm, Fun Lovin Criminals are set to whip the crowd into a frenzy on Saturday 14th September. Coined the planet’s best-loved “cousins from New York”, the trio gate-crashed the euphoric Brit-pop party in 1996 bringing along some unexpectedly unique swag and the generational classic album, ‘Come Find Yourself’.
Kick-starting the apple-inspired party on Friday 11th September, Glastonbury veterans The Wurzels will return to the festival with a string of hits including ‘The Combine Harvester’ and ‘I Am A Cider Drinker’. Undoubtedly the perfect fit for a cider party in the southwest, the Scrumpy and Western band will be playing for the 4th consecutive year.
Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival is excited to reveal Elvana, an Elvis-fronted Nirvana tribute band hailing from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. With an uncanny ability to tear through Nirvana’s catalogue of hits whilst splicing in sections of Elvis’s finest moments, this is rock and roll meets grunge.
In other music news, following the success of the pungent Club Fromage, the overload of cheesy dance floor bangers and chart-topping party songs will return for a nightly dose of feel-good fun. Party-goers can look forward to a performance from S Club 3, with more to be announced.
Other acts on this year’s programme include Electric Swing Circus, Wille & The Bandits, The Celtic Social Club, Kernow King, Flats and Sharps, The Rat Affair, Town of Cats, Amy Montgomery and Belfast Busker.
