Bedruthan Hotel and Spa

StarStarStarStar

Multi-award winning hotel near to the dramatic Bedruthan Steps

Coastal, colourful and creative—since 1959.

Just above Mawgan Porth beach, Bedruthan is a cliffside outpost of art and nature. An unexpected Scandi Modern retreat, combining bright Danish design with Californian architecture and Cornish sea air.

Bedruthan was always designed as a place for making the most out of these calm coastal days—and sixty years on, we’ve stayed true to that original, easy-living ideal.

About Bedruthan ....

Food

Two restaurants serve good-natured, sustainable food: The Wild Café is for casual post-surf cooking, while the smaller Herring is for more intimate evenings of slowly-perfected food. Bakery Cornwall—our warm, fresh-from-the-oven love letter to artisan pastries and good coffee.

Spa

A large communal spa offers a relaxed place of wellbeing, featuring a caldarium, steam room, sauna and holistic treatments (or try Nordic thermal therapy in the outdoor Sensory Spa Garden). Holistic treatments are given by our talented team of therapists.

Art

The hotel’s art gallery exhibits new Cornish art with a lean towards the abstract, keeping in touch with the nearby artist communities.

Nearby

We’re in the quieter stretch of coastline between Newquay and Padstow.

  • Inspiring coastline – particularly at Bedruthan Steps (just follow the coast path)
  • Mawgan Porth beach is just below – a great place to have a surf lesson
  • Art hotspots like St Ives

We stayed at the Bedruthan Hotel spa as a surprise for my 60th birthday. The spacious sea view room had amazing views straight down to the beach at Mawgan Porth. The hotel Spa was brilliant and very relaxing especially after a long coastal path walk. Both Ed (wine expert) and the chef Jamie made our evening meals in the Herring restaurant a great experience. Breakfast was continental with a huge range. Didn’t need upgrading to cooked as it was far too good to miss. The staff across the whole hotel were very good creating a great place to stay.
