THE PIG - at Harlyn Bay

Welcome to THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay

A friendly and relaxed country hotel, THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay has an inviting bar, cosy lounges all with open fires, sink in sofas, eclectic interiors and serves unfussy and hyper-local food in its restaurant.

With an obsessive commitment to home grown local produce and a serious love of all things local, the garden and kitchen teams work hand in hand to create the restaurant's 25-mile menu, which is supported by local farmers and small producers, who supply anything that the team cannot grow or produce themselves. You can expect some seriously good local seafood on the menu!

About us

A cosy romantic retreat...

Just a short stroll from Harlyn beach and Constantine Bay beaches, THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay is only a 10-minute drive to the picturesque port of Padstow (where THE PIG’s good friends the Restaurateurs and Chefs Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth call home).

It's also only a stone’s skim over the water from the buzzy towns of Rock and Polzeath, so there is no shortage of local fun come serious sunshine or Poldark-inspired rain!

It’s all about the Kitchen Garden here...

It’s all about the Kitchen Garden here. Enclosed by 3 sides of Cornish slate wall dating back to 1831, this Kitchen Garden has been growing food for almost 200 years and was heavily overgrown from years of neglect.

Andy and the Kitchen Garden team have lovingly restored it and will work year round to keep it flourishing with vegetables, fresh salads and herbs – we are even growing our own rock samphire, sea kale and sea beet.

Adam, our Head Chef, and his brigade work hand in hand with the Kitchen Gardeners to create our 25-mile menu - daily garden pickings and produce from local farmers, small producers and fisherman who supply anything that we cannot grow, produce or catch ourselves.

Dig into some seriously fresh seafood and Kitchen Garden pickings at The Lobster Shed, open daily in the gardens of THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay from 12 noon – 6pm. Closed from 1st November for winter.

Fresh Kitchen Garden food, true to the seasons and influenced by our surroundings with a real focus on simple flavours.

Outdoor eating and drinking, salty ocean air and simple but seriously tasty local food, head straight from the surf to your table and tuck into the daily catch.

It’s all about the wood-oven and local charcoal fired grill, so expect wood roasted fresh lobster, chargrilled meats, BBQd veggies as well as daily picked salads, fresh oysters, fresh crab with sourdough and Old School Ice Cream Sundaes to finish with.

Cornish ciders and beers, Camel Valley fizz and PIG HUT rosé – perfect to just drink in the views.
