Castle Beach

Castle Beach is a long narrow stretch of sand and shingle, and the most easterly of Falmouth’s beaches. Just a stroll away from the centre of historic Falmouth, and easily accessed from the railway station.

From the beach you can take in panoramic views across Falmouth Bay and the historic Pendennis Castle built for Henry VIII, from which it takes its name. At low tide the shoreline reveals scattered rocks and biodiverse rock pools for walkers and explorers, whilst off shore, the wartime wreckage of several U-boats can be spotted amongst the rocks, making it popular for diving and snorkelling.

Parking is on the main road, with a sloping access path plus a few steps down to the beach.

Please note: Dogs are welcome on this beach except between July 1st and August 31st when a seasonal dog ban is in place between 10am and 6pm (2023).
