Coverack Beach

Coverack is a peaceful picturesque Cornish fishing village with a small sand and pebble beach, situated on the sheltered eastern coast of the Lizard Peninsula of West Cornwall.

Distinctive granite walls, whitewashed fishing cottages and wooden fishing boats lead to the beach, where wildflowers thrive next to the beach which has a large sandy shoreline revealed at low tide.

It's popular with families, paddlers, kayakers and anglers.

The notorious Manacles reef, located just off the Coverack coast, has contributed to the sinking of many ships over the years. This has helped make Coverack a popular spot for divers, searching for shipwrecks and the area’s abundant sea life.

Coverack beach is dog friendly, but dogs must be kept on leads during June, July and August (2023).

There is also a small rocky beach at Perprean Cove to the south of the village.
