A secluded sandy beach with a steep rocky scramble down to it, therefore only suitable for the agile and able bodied. A dog ban operates from Easter to October. Seals are often seen along this stretch of coast, and sometimes visit the cove.
The well of St Leven sits above the beach.
Access is along the narrow South West Coast Path from either Porthcurno or Porthgwara, or by driving towards St Leven Church. Parking is available in a small field car park next to the church and it's about a 5-10 minutes walk from there to the beach.
Dogs are welcome on this beach except between Easter and the end of September.
