Porth Beach, on the east side of Newquay, is very popular with families and has a large area of flat golden sand that offers safe bathing.

Between Maenporth and Mawnan Smith there's a footpath that leads down through some beautiful wooded areas and ends at the little beach of Nansidwell, part of an area looked after by the National Trust. Dog-friendly all year.
