Sterts Theatre

Sterts Arts & Environment Centre is just 10 minutes north of Liskeard nestled on the edge of the atmospheric Bodmin Moor. Sterts Arts and Environment Centre has been a much-loved part of the arts community in SE Cornwall since the 1980s. It gradually developed into the iconic tent structure which is so widely recognised across the South West. Sterts is currently redeveloping the covering over its outdoor amphitheatre. The fragile canvas structure is being replaced with a more robust steel framed building to extend the season and host a much wider range of arts, heritage and environmental events. This project is being funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Community Ownership Fund and is due to open in summer 2024.

Sterts Theatre continues to use its indoor studio space for classes and events. It has its own Changing Place toilet and remains accessible to all.

Sterts Theatre is located in Upton Cross, the entrance is on the B3254 Launceston to Liskeard road. There is ample free car parking available for studio-hosted performances, but please inform them if you are bringing a coach. For Sat Nav users, the postcode is PL14 5AZ. Please check when booking the location where the performance is taking place.
