Widemouth Bay Beach
Widemouth Bay is a wild and wide sandy bay stretching for nearly 2 miles. Exposed to the full fury of the Atlantic with large rocky outcrops at either end, it’s a favourite surf spot and a Blue Flag beach.
Situated just 3 miles south of the seaside town of Bude and accessible along the South West Coast Path, Widemouth Bay offers unrivalled scenery, and ideal conditions to learn to surf or body-board. At the southern end of the beach the shore becomes very rocky; known as Blackrock Beach, there is an abundance of rock pools and it's home to array of biodiverse marine life and the distinctive formation ‘Black Rock,’ which rises above the rest.
