Summer Garden Sessions are £15 per person, and include a signature summer cocktail on arrival, a reserved table on our suntrap terrace, live music in Cornwall from our talented musician of the evening, and your choice of a delicious small plate from our mezze menu.

Jenny Bishop, a versatile solo guitarist, vocalist and looping artist, will be joining us for our first session of the year.

Taste of Truro- a celebration of Cornwall’s seafood scene
Join Head Chef Ollie Wyatt on Saturday 3rd June for an intimate tasting evening in The Library at The Alverton. Championing their top-notch local suppliers, this event will be a true celebration of Cornwall's unparalleled seafood scene.
At this ‘Taste of Truro’ evening, indulge in a six course tasting menu that incorporates Ollie’s carefully curated dishes with heavy influences of traditional Cornish fish and seafood recipes. Take your seat in the intimate setting of our historical Library for this special event, then savour the flavours of local land and sea.
Tickets are £60 each and an accompanying wine flight is available for £25.

With over fifteen years of performing experience, Ashley has a huge range of musical styles ranging from all decades and genres including pop, rock, blues, country, folk and reggae.

Lobster on the Lawn
Head to The Alverton for a cracking seafood celebration this summer. On Saturday 17th June, their chefs will be rolling out a lobster feast, with all the trimmings. Line-caught locally in Cornish waters, tuck into a succulent lobster, served al-fresco style on their outdoor terrace, overlooking The Alverton's gardens and grounds.
Tickets to this Lobster on the Lawn event are £50 per person. This includes a rustic lobster feast, acoustic music from James Rann, and an arrival glass of fizz.

True Foxes, aka cousins Amie and Chloe, travel around Devon and Cornwall performing beautifully harmonious folk and pop covers. Since forming, they have played at over 100 different venues and festivals.

Toby is a rising singer-songwriter from Falmouth. He has been writing and playing guitar since he was 12 and in recent years has appeared on stage with folk stars such as Seth Lakeman, Will Keating and shanty singers, Bryher’s Boys.

Taste of Truro- A celebration of local seasonal produce
Join Head Chef Ollie Wyatt on Saturday 9th September for an intimate tasting evening in celebration of Cornwall’s abundant vegetable harvest. The evening is part of our 'Taste of Truro' series which highlights the very best seafood, grass-fed meats and harvest from across The Duchy. September will see the spotlight turned on plants, as we showcase the best of local vegetable produce, accompanied by a selection of locally-sourced dairy. Tickets are £45 per person and include a very special six course menu in The Library. A wine flight has also been carefully crafted by expert sommelier Holly Bennetts, with each glass perfectly pairing with every forkful. This will be an additional £25 per person on the night.
An evening with Johnny Cowling at The Great Hall
Relax into the weekend with a night full of side-splitting Cornish comedy from local comedian Johnny Cowling. Tuck into your pasty, sink a few pints and let the laughs commence as Johnny promises to entertain The Great Hall this September. Our comedy night experience will kick-start with the fantastically funny Johnny Cowling. Famous for his Cornish charm and quick wit, he has performed across the UK during his impressive career spanning over 20 years, including supporting Paddy McGuinness on tour and warming up for many popular live TV shows including The Jonathan Ross Show, Dancing on Ice and Strictly Come Dancing. Your ticket includes entry to The Great Hall for Johnny Cowling’s show, a pint of ale on arrival and a cocktail pasty. This event starts at 7pm.
The Cornish Gin & Drinks Festival
Lover of gin? We've got just the thing. Join The Alverton for their annual Cornish Gin and Drinks Festival. From 2pm until late, meet the makers, attend masterclasses and sample the very best in Cornish tipples. On the day, arrive to the first drink on them, before entering The Great Hall to meet the suppliers. Try oodles of samples as you venture over to The Oak, where live demos and masterclasses from their wine makers and spirits distilleries will be held. Your ticket includes a G&T on arrival, samples from all of the drinks suppliers, access to masterclasses, and a keepsake branded glass to hold all your favourite future tipples.

Join Head Chef Ollie Wyatt on Saturday 7th October for an intimate tasting evening in The Library at The Alverton, that will be a celebration of Cornwall's incredible game meat offering. The evening is part of the 'Taste of Truro' series and will highlight the very best seafood, grass-fed meats and harvest from Cornwall’s ‘Great Little City’. Cornwall is surrounded by plentiful of game producing estates that have hundreds of years of history and heritage behind them. Head Chef Ollie has used his knowledge and experience of working with this special type of meat to create a uniquely delicious menu filled with expertly curated dishes. Tickets are £60 per person and include a very special six course menu in The Library. A wine flight has also been carefully crafted by expert sommelier Holly Bennetts, with each glass perfectly pairing with every forkful. This will be an additional £25 per person on the night.
Moulin Rouge Murder Mystery in The Great Hall
Travel back in time to Paris at the turn of the 20th century, for this unique and extravagant murder mystery event. Head to The Alverton for a dinner party with a difference. The Great Hall will be transformed into the glitzy Moulin Rouge cabaret in 20th century Paris, where eye-popping excess is the selected style for the evening. Starting at 6.30pm, enjoy a tipple on arrival before taking your seat for the main event. Savour a delicious three-course dinner, served with a side of scandal, mystery and murder (starters will be served at 7pm). Your ticket is your invite to the cabaret and includes an arrival drink, a three-course dinner and the entertainment.
