    Making a Killing

    by Ben Kernow

Presented by Ha Hum Ah Productions

The ropes are ready, the crowd is waiting and the hangman has a new apprentice. When Claus Kohler is apprenticed to Frantz Schmidt, Nuremberg’s seasoned executioner, the two men are thrown together in a world where duty, morality and power collide, and every decision leaves a mark. But as the gallows fill and suspicion takes root, their fates become dangerously entwined, until both must decide who they are and which side of the rope they stand on.

Performed by just two actors, Making a Killing is a razor-sharp, dark comedy about justice, corruption and the cost of survival in a world disturbingly like our own. Bold, biting and impossible to ignore, the play takes inspiration from The Journal of Master Franz Schmidt, Public Executioner of Nuremberg (1573–1617), a remarkable historical record that lays bare the humanity and contradictions of a man who killed for a living.

    We Will Rock You: Young@Part

presented by the British Theatre Academy and the Minack Theatre Music and Lyrics by QUEEN Story and Script by Ben Elton Young@Part Edition adapted by Marc Tumminelli and originally workshopped at Broadway Workshop in NYC

We Will Rock You is a high-octane, adrenaline-fueled musical featuring more than 20 iconic Queen hits, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Are the Champions,” “Somebody to Love,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and of course, “We Will Rock You.” Set in a post-apocalyptic future where individuality has been outlawed and music is controlled by algorithms, the story follows two young revolutionaries who dare to defy the system to save rock ‘n’ roll.

This fist-pumping, foot-stomping anthem to freedom and self-expression is a musical for our time — unapologetically bold and filled with the timeless power of Queen’s legendary music.

We Will Rock You Young@Part® is an authorised 60-minute edition of the West End musical for schools and youth group performances.
