Take to the skies
Take the controls, fly a plane and discover the wonders of Cornwall from the air with a hand’s on flying experience from Cornwall Airport Newquay.
Enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer, from the breath-taking scenic coastlines, cliffs and beaches to its rural villages and towns.
What’s more, you’ll be given the chance to take control of the aircraft and fly the plane for yourself under the supervision of one of our qualified and experienced flight instructors! Once in the aircraft you will be guided through each stage of the flight. Experience the exhilaration of taking off from Cornwall Airport Newquay, whilst following through on the aircraft's dual controls. When you're feeling confident, you can take over the aircraft's controls and experience flying the aircraft for yourself! Don’t fancy taking the controls? That’s fine too, your instructor will be happy to let you sit back, relax and take in the views on this scenic flight.
Enjoy either a one-on-one experience in our two-seat Cessna 152, or why not take up to two additional friends or family members with you as passengers to share your experience in our stunning four seat Robin R3000. Flight durations last from 30 to 60 minutes, although we can arrange custom experiences on request. Prices start from just £135!
Fancy flying yourself to another airport?
If yes, then our Land Away Flight Experiences to Land’s End or the Isles of Scilly would be perfect for you. Arrive at the airport, board the plane and fly to a new destination – but this time, you will be flying the aircraft. Our Land Away Experiences are perfect for two people to share, allowing you to swap positions in the aircraft after landing at your chosen destination so you both have the opportunity to fly the plane.
On completion of each flight, you will be presented with a personalised flight experience certificate to keep as a record of your first official flying lesson. As each flight is conducted with an approved flying instructor, it can also be logged towards the flight time required to gain a UK Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL) or a UK Private Pilot Licence (PPL).

Flynqy Pilot Training is a UK CAA Approved Training Organisation operating from Cornwall Airport Newquay, a regional airport with a great range of professional facilities. We're also lucky to have the stunning coastlines and landscapes of Cornwall and Devon as a backdrop for our flights. All of our pilots are commercial pilots with full instructor ratings and many years of experience.
Flights are available seven days a week from 9am!
