Harlyn Surf School offer a choice of fantastic activities, surfing, coasteering, stand up paddleboarding and guided sit on top kayak tours. plus Multi activity days, all based at Harlyn Bay.
The golden sands of Harlyn Bay, near Padstow have been voted as one of the top five family beaches in the UK by Nivea sun products. It's a beautiful sheltered crescent shaped beach, has plenty of parking and refreshment facilities and is also recognised as one of the safest beaches in Cornwall. There is no better place to enjoy a fantastic water experience whether that is learning to surf, coasteering or having a stand up paddleboard or sit on top kayak tour. The location is perfect for families with a large parking area, toilets and refreshments. The surf school is based right on the beach so park up and come and visit us at our beach cabin.

Harlyn Surf School has an excellent safety record and is also one of the UK’s leading training centres for surf/sup instructors and beach lifeguards. Harlyn Surf School is always at the forefront of the watersports industry. Coasteering is one of the most popular activities with a couple of exhilarating routes on offer which have something for everyone. We were also the first surf school to launch standup paddleboarding back in 2008 and have some great SUP tours available. Why not come and try out the giant monster SUP - 18ft of fun for you and your family or as a group of friends!
Our summer surf camps run every summer and are incredibly popular with teenagers and children; suitable for 8 - 12yr olds. We have a variety of other surf lessons available, private, improver and group and family lessons are all on offer. For those looking to hire equipment we operate an RNLI Approved Hire Centre and we have an excellent range of boards, wetsuits, sit on top kayaks, paddleboards and bodyboards available to hire.
