Fun-loving families can dive into a deep-sea adventure at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum at Charlestown during the May half-term holiday.

A special map will help guide budding treasure hunters in their search for items that will be found among the museum’s unique collection of shipwreck artefacts gathered from around the globe.

The activity is all part of the standard entry fee and those who take part will be rewarded with some delicious booty of their own in the shape of a sweet treat.

Visitors will discover the largest private collection of shipwreck artefacts in Europe with nearly 8,000 objects on display recovered from over 150 individual wrecks.

Located above the historic and beautiful port of Charlestown, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Shipwreck Treasure Museum also provides a unique insight into the port’s rich maritime history.

The attraction is also home to The Merchants of Charlestown where you will find a pop-up Joules clothing store, Rebellion Moonshine outlet and the museum’s own well stocked gift shop offering a variety of nautical treasure themed gifts.

Treasure hunters need not go hungry as they can refuel at the Rebellion Roast House & Cocktail Bar or dine alfresco on our deck overlooking the harbour at the Rebellion Pizzeria.

The Shipwreck Treasure Museum is open daily from 10am – 5pm. Adult: £6.50, Children (5-17): £4.50, Under 5s go Free. To ensure the safety of visitors pre-booking of timed entry tickets is essential online in advance.
