At the End of the Land is the first annual walking weekend for the Penwith Landscape Partnership

This is a programme supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund for the understanding, conservation and enhancement of the Penwith Landscape as a sustainable living, working landscape.

The weekend will consist of three walks, details of which are below.  All walks are free to join, and dogs are welcome but must be kept under close control.  Families are welcome but all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and the walks are not suitable for buggies.  Please ensure you are at the meeting point ten minutes before the start time to allow for a prompt departure, and that you dress appropriately.  For more information please visit

Saturday 20th October:

Chûn Castle and Woon Gumpus 10am- 12pm

Sites: Chûn Castle / Chûn Quoit

Parking: Woon Gumpus Car Park (SW 393 334)

Distance:2.4 miles

Accessibility:Generally easy; moorland paths, gentle ascent

Mên-an-Tol Circular 2pm- 5pm

Sites: Bosiliack settlement & barrow / Nine Maidens / Mên-an-Tol

Parking: Lanyon Farm (SW 427 341)

Distance:3 miles    

Accessibility:Generally easy; with some uneven ground and rough paths



Sunday 21st October:

Mulfra Hill 2pm- 5pm

Sites:Mulfra Vean settlement / Mulfra quoit

Parking: Grove Corner / Mulfra Hill (SW 452 361) – limited parking

Distance:3 miles

Accessibility:Moderate; rough paths with some steep sections
