After a long two years, it is wonderful that we are only a few weeks from the Fowey Festival. Among this year’s literary stars, you will find author, poet and playwright, Michael Morpurgo; novelist, fashion writer, biographer and former Editor in Chief of Harper’s Bazaar - Justine Picardie; poet, broadcaster, and playwright - Roger McGough; prize winning children’s author, Lauren Child and British historian, author and television presenter, Kate Williams.
Along with workshops, author interviews and audience participation events, you will be spoilt for choice. For those of you who enjoy a concert, look out for Show of Hands, Fisherman’s Friends, Seth Lakeman, the Festival Jazz Evening and the return of our wonderful community event, with the Fowey River Singers, this year joined by the Restormel Concert Band, Fowey Schools and special guests. There is also an Art trail from 7th – 14th and there are 21 venues to visit with 35 artists participating. Our popular Secret Gardens is returning for just two days on 13th and 14th May.
The events are held in Fowey Church, Fowey Town Hall and other venues in the town. Full details of the line-up can be found on the Festival website, where tickets to all the events can be purchased.
