St Ives Food and Drink Festival
What is the event all about?
St Ives Food and Drink Festival, supported by Carbis Bay Holidays, will take place on Porthminster Beach from May 10-12. The location is a real stunner with events taking place right down on the sand, with the sound of the waves in your ears, and the town of St Ives as a beautiful backdrop.
Daytime content is mostly free and includes top chefs from Cornwall and beyond demonstrating mouthwatering dishes in the Chef’s Theatre as well as lots of music, art and family fun. Visitors can also enjoy plenty of street food as well as shopping and tasting in the artisan local producers’ market.
At night there are music events on the Lighthouse Stage, presented by Harbour Hotels and featuring BBC Radios 6 Music favourites Daytoner Live, the spectacular live whirlwind that is Tankus the Henge and Cornwall’s own amazing Queen tribute band The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys. Saturday evening will also include a five-course meal at the Porthminster Beach Café, with each course cooked by a chef who is appearing at the festival.
How can visitors take part?
See, talk to and try a wide range of products from Cornish food producers, watch some of Cornwall’s finest chefs cooking dishes using local produce, take part in a range of events from food foraging walks to Oyster and Champagne tastings and enjoy live music.
