Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion plays host to one of the largest and best beer festivals in the South West, organised by CAMRA Kernow (Cornwall’s branch of the Campaign for Real Ale).

All tastes will be catered for with 240 or more real ales and 60+ real ciders and perries; and advice will be willingly dispensed by CAMRA volunteers manning the bars. Glasses will be measured for one third, half or full pint servings.

Princess Pavilion is a wonderful venue with sea views, picturesque gardens and beaches all within 5 minutes walk of the town centre. There is excellent access by train via Falmouth Town station (3 minutes walk) or by bus, and car parks are also nearby.

The town has ample hotel and B&B accommodation plus three handy campsites. The Pavilion has wheelchair access and disabled facilities.
See www.cornwall.camra.org.uk where more information is available.

What is it all about?

Falmouth Beer Festival is a celebration of real ale, cider and perry. The world of wine is comfortably outclassed by beer when it comes to diversity of style and taste. The full range will be represented at Falmouth from light, citrusy pale ales to pitch black porters! In addition to the huge Cornish Bar, other bars will provide an excellent selection of the finest products of the brewer’s art from all over England, Wales and Scotland.

There will also be bottled continental beers, wines, soft drinks for drivers; and hot and cold food from the Pavilion kitchens.
Live music, games and other entertainment will feature throughout the festival. The evenings tend to be lively and busy; the daytime period starts quieter while the numbers and buzz steadily build towards evening!

How can you take part?

Go along on Thursday 20 October 20:00 – 23:00, Friday 21 and/or Saturday 22 October 11:00 – 23:00, collect your special commemorative festival glass and tokens, browse your festival programme and sample the brews. You can choose one third, half or full pint measures. CAMRA also provide a live smartphone app to help you navigate from ale to ale. Admission is £10 which includes entry, £6 worth of beer tokens (equivalent to 3 pints) £7.50 for CAMRA members, your glass and programme. Tankards will be an extra £1.50.
