A great regatta in a great location

Charlestown Regatta returns on July 27th – August 2ndwith a full programme of events for all the family - in celebration of one of the most iconic villages in the county.

Regatta week is an annual tradition bringing together the local community and visitors alike to enjoy a variety of live music, competitions, pasty demonstrations, craft stalls, raft races, water sports and classic favourites such as the Children’s sports, Grand Carnival, flora dance procession and Regatta Rocks.

Charlestown village, a UNESCO world heritage site, takes centre stage as the week’s proceeding wrap around the magnificent Georgian harbour.

Charlestown Regatta Committee Co-Chairman, Terry Butler, commented “It’s exciting to announce the full programme of activities for Regatta Week 2019. Our charity triathlon, and new for this year the junior biathlon, will kick-start the week’s proceedings on Regatta Saturday (July 27th), followed by daily events every evening with the finale of week seeing three live bands take to the stage at Regatta Rocks (Friday August 2nd).  Each year we’re overwhelmed by the local support and goodwill of our visitors - we can only hope everyone joins us again so heartily to make 2019 the best yet!”
