It is with sadness that the organisers of the Falmouth Spring Festival announce that this year’s event, due to take place from the 19th to the 29th March has been cancelled. 

This wonderful early season festival brings together the Falmouth community like no other. The festival brings an explosion of colour, life and activity to the town. Sponsored by the University of Exeter

Paint The Town Yellow Day
The town becomes ablaze with yellow in preparation for the Festival as local schoolchildren hand out thousands of daffodils to shoppers and businesses through the town. Date: Thursday 19 March

Spring Clean Days
The Spring Clean Days are at the core of the Falmouth Spring Festival, which has engaged with hundreds of volunteers including school children, local businesses, staff and students from the universities and residents. Over the years with support from Falmouth Town Council and Cormac’s Parks and Gardens team, we’ve undertaken landscaping, litter removal and planting activities in dozens of areas around the town, sprucing up forgotten corners to colourful and award-winning effect. Want to volunteer? Beach cleaning, painting, gardening – you name it we’ll be doing it. So, if you’d like to come along and get your hands dirty for a good cause, please get in touch!!! Arwenack Street Easter Egg Hunt
Join in the fun on Arwenack Street! Come and examine all the windows to find the hidden eggs and be in with the chance of winning a lovely hamper. Pick up your spotting sheet from various businesses throughout the street. Date: Friday 20 March o Friday 27 March Tel: 01326 210036

Games & Fitness
Have fun and get fit! There will be a variety of games and fitness classes from Ships & Castles Leisure Centre, WeSUP and others. Join in from midday for taster sessions and demonstrations. Date: Sunday 22 March Time: Midday – 3pm Venue: Gyllyngvase Beach

Falmouth Spring Flower Show
Falmouth’s 110th display of finest spring flowers, rare and exotic flora, new and heritage daffodils, flora art, photography and a dozen children’s classes will delight visitors to Cornwall’s oldest
flower show. Free access to local trade stands. Date: Saturday 28 March, 10am – 5pm Sunday 29 March, 10am – 4pm Price: Adults £3, Free for children under 16 and exhibitors

Rockpooling Session
A team of scientists from the University of Exeter’s Penryn Campus will be leading this fun, family activity and will help you find and identify species of marine life, each specially adapted for coping with the environment it lives in. If you would like to join us, please email Lou in advance. Appropriate footwear should be worn and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

The Four-Teas Pudding Club
The Four-Teas Tearoom are holding a pudding competition, serving up 8 delicious deserts. All participants score them to find the Pudding of the Month. At their December meeting we will cook all the winning puddings to find The Pudding of The Year.
