Welcome to the Port William

A stay at The Port William ticks all the boxes of a quintessential Cornish holiday. Trebarwith Strand, near Tintagel, is a jewel in the county’s coastal crown that boasts quality surf, golden beaches, and dramatic walks in both directions.

The eight bedrooms showcase a delightfully boutique hotel style. What’s more, they each enjoy ocean coastal views and welcome dogs throughout the year, so canine companions needn’t miss out on the area’s stunning coastal trails. Light, modern, and comfortable interiors set a tranquil atmosphere for falling asleep and waking up to the soothing sound of rolling waves.

Trebarwith Strand beach is dotted with curious rock pools and glistening sand at low tide. It’s also home to a surfing school, giving beginners the chance to carve their first waves safely. Tintagel, steeped in Arthurian legend, is a short drive or walk away, and promises a magical day out at its mythical clifftop castle. Popular north coast destinations such as Padstow, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Bude are also close by.

The pub offers front row, sea-facing seats for truly scenic al fresco dining. Inside, the contemporary decor charms with the crackle of a cosy wood burner during the colder months. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the menus combine favourite pub classics with changing daily specials. Each dish goes down best with one of St Austell Brewery’s award-winning beers. There’s a tasty selection for children too, making it a go-to base for family adventures.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Port William Inn. The place is simply amazing. A perfect location with stunning scenery & fantastic views from our rooms. The staff make you feel at home from the start & are attentive & very welcoming. Good food. Breakfast is perfect. Can't fault it.
