Downstairs the oak style fitted kitchen is well equipped with all modern conveniences including a microwave and a dishwasher. A separate utility houses the washing machine, tumble drier and a deep freeze. The dining room follows on from the kitchen with a pine table and chairs, and the highchair. All the original downstairs have exposed ceiling beams. The lounge with wood burner is the ideal place to relax on a winters evening, watching the television or video. Logs are stored for your use in the garage. Night storage heaters provide the back round heat for all of the cottage.

The garden has a barbecue set in the wall of the lawn area, with a picnic table close by. There is fencing to the boundaries of the property, but we must emphasise that young children must be kept under supervision by the river at all times. There is ample parking on the tar macadam driveway with direct access to the garage . Another picnic table is also situated here, ideal for eating outside without having to carry food very far from the kitchen.

An abundance of wildlife live around the river, trail and estuary, from the prolific rabbit to the rare otter. Amongst the vast array of bird life look out for owls, sparrow hawks, dippers and the occasional kingfisher. The hedgerows are beautiful with a profusion of colourful wild flowers in spring and summer. Twelve species of plant found along the trail are scarce either in Cornwall or nationally.

Those that prefer to leave the car behind and travel by bike or foot, the famous Camel Trail, an area of 'Special Conservation' passes right by our cottage, winding its way through some of the most spectacular countryside in Cornwall from beautiful woodlands, which have an air of timeless peace and quiet to the mudflats and salt marshes of the estuary around Padstow, home to some very important birdlife.

Bridge Pool Cottage is situated deep in unspoilt countryside only 7 miles from the coast, 4 miles from Bodmin town and shops and approximately 14 miles from the Eden Project. We hope you will come and enjoy the delights this cottage offers and the beauty of North Cornwall with its rugged coastline very soon, to make your own pleasurable memories.
