    A slice of North Cornwall...

The Olde House is situated in the small, picturesque village of Chapel Amble on the north Cornish coast. The fantastic Maltsters Arms pub and restaurant is just a short walk.

Just a few miles away are the sandy beaches of Daymer Bay & Polzeath, offering surfing and swimming, whilst Rock is a major centre for sailing and water-skiing. The popular fishing villages of Padstow and Port Isaac are nearby and offer an abundance of outstanding eateries.

During the school holidays free activities are run by the family, including a farm ride, pond dipping, falconry, archery, woodland fun and a communal barbecue. The activities are a great way to meet other families and for the children to form friendships and get closer to nature. The Pet’s Corner is open every day and helpers are always welcome at the twice daily feeding times.

Dogs are welcome in most cottages and the farm trail is a great walk for all the family to enjoy with their four legged companions.

The farm is run by a lovely family who do all they can, together with their excellent staff, to make your stay enjoyable.

    A home from home...

In the nearby town of Wadebridge, you can join the Camel Trail, formerly a railway line, winding along the bank of the Camel River from Padstow to Wenford Bridge, a safe trail for walkers and cyclists alike.

The Olde House are very keen on conservation and have recently flooded 15 acres of farmland to create wetlands as part of the Walmsley Bird Sanctuary and to protect the Amble Marshes SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).

The bird hide, built by the family, has been a popular addition to the facilities. It features ramped access and 2 lower viewing windows, suitable for wheelchair users and small children.

The Olde House, awarded Gold for Green Tourism, generate their own energy from solar panels and a biomass boiler and can offer free car charging to their guests.

Linen, cots, stairgates, high chairs and put-u-ups are also all free of charge.
