Editing SEO
Navigating to SEO
Navigate to the offering type your product sits within, i.e. Accommodation, Things to do, or Local Business. For this example, we have navigated to 'Accommodation', where we currently have one product called Doe's Retreat. Click on the 'Edit' button and select 'SEO' from the drop down.
What to add?
The SEO section plays a role in optimising your product page for search engines. It is responsible for managing the metadata, which is the information that appears in the search results. To ensure that your page is relevant to what is being searched for, you need to focus on the following:
Meta Title: This should be a clear and concise description of your product/business, between 50-60 characters long. It should include relevant keywords to improve its search engine visibility.
Meta Description: This is a brief summary of your product/business, 130-160 characters without any technical jargon. The clearer and more precise the description, the more likely it is to appear higher in search results.
Keywords: Choose a few relevant words that best describe your product/business. Separate them with a comma, and limit them to 5-6.
Meta Image: Choose a high-quality image that showcases your product's unique selling points. This image should be visually appealing and accurately represent your product/business.
In addition to SEO, you can also add social media accounts like Facebook and Twitter. Click on "Add Entry" and fill out each card with the relevant information. If you want to add more, repeat the same process.
