Discover Land's End

Land's End is mainland Britain’s most south-westerly point and one of the country’s most famous landmarks. From the 200 foot high granite cliffs that rise out of the Atlantic Ocean you can gaze across to the Longships Lighthouse, the Isles of Scilly twenty eight miles away and beyond that, North America.

Reasons to visit Land's End

  • Spectacular coastal views
  • Walk the cliff tops to see how Cornwall changes from season to season
  • Steeped with unique history and marvelous myths and legends
  • Take your picture next to the famous Land's End sign post
  • Surrounded by beautiful coastal wildlife

Things to do in Land's End

  • Take in the awe-inspiring views from the First and Last Point
  • Enjoy a walk around the cliff top and stop off to have a picture taken at the famous signpost which was established in the 1950’s when a local family-run business erected it. Personalise your photo by telling the photographer your home town and they will add the number of miles to your city.
  • Take a stroll through the West Country Shopping Village at Lands End where you can buy gifts, souvenirs, clothing and tasty Cornish treats at great prices. The three specialist shops in charming old-world surroundings offer unique items to this unforgettable corner of the British Isles
  • Land's End Landmark offers a range of ‘pay as you go’ attractions designed to keep families entertained throughout the summer months, from Arthur’s Quest, an interactive exhibition that takes guests on a journey of discovery, to Greeb Farm, a restored 200 year old Cornish farmstead where young and old can meet the animals. With a state-of-the-art 4D Cinema immersing guests in a cutting edge showing of the movie 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, as well as an End to End exhibition featuring extraordinary tales of the ‘end to enders’ and their outlandish modes of transport
  • If you have binoculars don’t forget to bring them because Land’s End is a legendary place for birdwatchers. Keep an eye open for Gannets, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Shags, Razorbills and even the Cornish Chough, once extinct in the county but now making a welcome return. If you’re lucky, you may catch sight of grey seals, basking sharks and even dolphins in the waters below the high cliff
  • Enjoy storm watching as the seas crash over the top of the Longships Lighthouse
  • Land's End Airport provides regular flights to and from St Mary's Airport on the Isles of Scilly
