Get Closer at Cornwall’s Biggest Zoo!

Newquay Zoo is now open!

Tickets and time slots for Newquay Zoo must be booked in advance online through their website. Entry is permitted in half-hour time slots throughout the day (this refers to your arrival time, not the length of your visit).

There are many Covid-19 safety measures implemented around the site to ensure that everyone can have an enjoyable and safe visit. Please visit the Newquay Zoo website for full information.

Meet and discover all your animal favourites big and small, including lions, lemurs, otters, penguins, red pandas, lynx, armadillos, meerkats, plus a variety of different bird and reptile species.

As well as a large variety of unusual species, the zoo has a village farm with more familiar faces, plus the Tropical House - an amazing and atmospheric exhibit where you can see sloths, poison dart frogs and loads of beautiful birds from around the world.

Please note: Due to Covid-19 the Tropical House is currently closed due to the Government's roadmap guidance.

Activity trails and children's play areas offer plenty to keep people of all abilities and ages occupied.

To refuel during the day, there are food outlets around the site to grab a takeaway drink or snack. Situated next to the main entrance, the gift shop is stocked full of unique gifts, cuddly toys and branded souvenirs.

As one of Cornwall’s biggest charities we receive no additional government funding and rely on the support of our visitors in order to finance conservation projects – both at home and abroad. We are proud of our success with conservation breeding programmes. Our past successes include squirrel monkey babies, ring-tailed and crowned lemur babies, lynx kittens and golden bishop chicks. Who knows what babies will arrive this year?

Cornwall Tourism Awards 2014/15 - Wildlife and Marine Attraction of the Year - Silver Award

Newquay Zoo has won big in the prestigious 2020 Loo of the Year Awards.

These national awards celebrate the best public toilets in the United Kingdom and promote high standards. Newquay Zoo was presented with three awards in the leisure category, including Washroom Cleaner of the Year, National Category winner and a Gold for the overall grade of the toilet facilities, which include the Changing Places accessible toilet. In 2019 Newquay Zoo opened a specialist Changing Places toilet facility which can accommodate bigger wheelchairs and provides a bed and the necessary hoists. The move was met with great support from families and visitors to the zoo.

Newquay Zoo is one of the largest not-for-profit charities in Cornwall - with all money made going directly back into the Zoo and its conservation projects. As the Zoo receives no grants or financial aid, your support is paramount to its success.

If you are a UK taxpayer and you make a donation that is 10% more than the admission, the government will give us 25p for every £1 of your entrance fee. It's called a gift aid visit and it makes a massive difference to us and to our vital conservation work.

As all indoor exhibits will be closed until at least 17th May, in line with the Government's roadmap guidelines, we will be offering a reduced rate entry.

Gift Aid admission - Entry prices (as of April 12th - May 16th 2021)
  • Adult (16+) £13.90*
  • Child (3-15 years) £10.35*
  • Child under 3 years Free
  • Senior citizen & student £11.80*

*If you prefer not to support our vital conservation work, admission prices are: Adult - £12.60, Child - £9.50, Senior Citizen & Student - £10.70. If you do not wish to make the donation, then please advise our ticket staff accordingly.
