Carlyon Beach Events

Carlyon Beach is more than just a beach.

Located just a short drive from St Austell, this long sandy stretch of coastline is home to a unique open air venue for special events throughout the summer, as well as the UK’s first beach Frisbee golf course.

Carlyon Beach hosts local street food traders daily throughout the summer, and has two pop-up restaurants on site, the renowned Sam’s and Ostraca.

The events hosted at the beach range from intimate wine tastings and yoga sessions through to major sporting challenges and open air theatre.

Mad Hatter will be organising swim events, making the most of the clear and sheltered waters at Carlyon Beach. Swimmers can take part in a 2K swim or the ‘Hokey Cokey’ competition, heading into the sea to swim, then back out to run a stretch on the beach. Then in again, and out again.

There will be open air entertainment to enjoy with productions from both Miracle Theatre and Rogue, plus film screenings from Skyscape Cinema and live acoustic music evenings.

The beach will play host to a Frisbee golf course, free to use all summer, and September will see the first National Beach Cricket Competition take place.

Kids are always welcome, but please note that the beach is a dog-free zone until 1st October.
