To help maintain social distancing St Michael’s Mount is operating on a ticket only basis. St Michael’s Mount is a tidal island and as there are no boats running this year, all visitors must access it by foot. At low tide the causeway opens and all ticket holders can walk across to the island and stay there until the tide comes back in again around four hours later. The harbour village, shops, castle lawns and takeaway outlets will be open for ticket holders to enjoy.
There are timed slots for castle visits. It’s important to reach the castle checkpoint at the time specified so that the flow of visitors can be managed effectively.
Dogs are not permitted on the island at this time, but assistance dogs are welcome.
All tickets can be purchased online at www.stmichaelmount.co.uk
Ticket prices vary, but National Trust and NHS workers are free. All tickets must be booked online and in advance of any visit. Please check carefully the open day schedule before planning your visit. Open days are dictated by tide times, so there are periods of closure.Face coverings are mandatory in all enclosed spaces on the island.
