National Meadows Day with the National Trust
Printmaking workshop at Pentire
In celebration of National Meadow’s Day, join us for a printmaking workshop at Pentire, nr. Polzeath. Led by local artist, Alicia Breakspear, the workshop will include time spent gaining inspiration outside, enjoying the natural beauty of the headland, before returning to the main visitor hub to explore the art of monoprinting.

Learn how to scythe at Gunwalloe
Open to beginners or anyone who wants to refresh their skills. 5 July, 10am - 3.30pm, £25.
Booking is essential due to very limited spaces.
Open meadows at Cothele
On the meadow at Cotehele Mill on Saturday 5 July join National Trust rangers for talks about the meadow management at the mill and across the wider estate. The team from Tamar Landscape Partnership will also be on the meadow doing kick sampling and invertebrate identifying in the Morden stream which you can join in with – bring your wellies!
There will also be the chance to become a Nature Detective and a meadow-wide scavenger hunt you can take part in – as well as taking home some wildflower seeds. 5 July, 11am-3pm, no booking required.
Open Meadows at Lansallos
Join the Ranger Team in celebration of National Meadows Day. Walk a route through our beautifully restored wildflower meadows, not usually open to the public. Brush up on your I.D skills and see how many grasses and flowers you can spot along the way. Learn all about traditional meadows, our restoration project, and how you can help at home. Bring your own picnic lunch – and we’ll provide the tea and cake!
Additional info: Park in the National Trust carpark at Lansallos, PL13 2PX, and follow the signs out to the meadows. Please dress accordingly for the weather, and wear sturdy shoes or walking boots.
Dogs welcome, but please keep them on leads in the meadow.
Celebrate National Meadows Day at Botallack
We’re hosting a family-friendly event to celebrate National Meadows Day 10am – 2pm at Botallack where you can find out more about the thriving wildflower meadows and our ongoing project to challenge biodiversity loss and climate change through the Cornish Coastal Meadows Project. To help us celebrate the success of the project, you can join us on a mini bug ID hunt and get hands on harvesting your own yellow rattle seed. There will also be packets of seed mix for everyone to take away to create a mini meadow area to help nature flourish at home.
Celebrate National Meadows Day at Glendurgan
Come and meet our Coastal Meadows Project team at Glendurgan garden and find out about this county wide project to combat biodiversity loss, from 10am-2pm at the entrance to the Gardens.
There will be spotters sheets available for you to find some of our meadow plants in the Glendurgan meadows, exclusive meadow stickers and make a seed packet to take some wildflower seed home with you!
Celebrate National Meadows day at Lanhydrock
Come and meet our Coastal Meadows Project team at Lanhydrock and find out about this county wide project to combat biodiversity loss, from 12pm-3pm near the main house.
There will be spotters sheets available for you to explore the meadow in front of the house, exclusive meadow stickers and make a seed packet to take some wildflower seed home with you!
