Discover the beautiful Helford and magical Frenchman's Creek

Helford River Cruises offer an hour and half cruise along the Helford River and creeks, including Daphne du Maurier's inspiration Frenchman's Creek, from the Budock Vean Hotel.

Helford River Cruise offer an hour and half cruise along the Helford River and creeks, including Frenchman's Creek made infamous by Daphne du Maurier.

An open top Cygnus built for our rivers and creeks we take you along the Helford past Helford Passage and the beautiful Trebah Gardens and Durgan village, back along past Helford Village and then along Frenchman's Creek, made infamous by Daphne du Maurier who wrote a novel of the same name, Polwheveral Creek and Port Navas Creek.

The Hannah Molly is an open top Cygnus and we take up to 10 people per cruise (up to 12 people on our Private Charters). Got something to celebrate? you might like a Champagne Cruise which includes Champagne, nibbles and a private charter for up to 12 people.

Your boatman will share commentary about the river and creeks. There is the opportunity to see both sides of the river from the stately houses, small fishing villages, great gardens and stunning wildlife on the creeks. Herons, Little Egrets, Cormorants, Kingfishers and even the occasional seal or dolphin is spotted.

We love dogs, but we have a small boat and so in order to fit all the humans and dogs onboard we ask dog owners to book a private charter if they want to bring them on the cruise. We are very accessible, but there is a hill down to the quay through the Budock Vean Hotel gardens. There are benches available for you to sit and catch your breath on the way down and up but for those who are unable to walk wheelchairs can come down to the foreshore and be left in the boatshed whilst we are out on the water.
