Yellow Fish Workshops and Scheme
They are aiming to raise awareness about sources of water pollution and the quality of water in your local streams and rivers.
Join them on the 17th June in the Millpool Centre in West Looe to get creative as they give you the opportunity to make a willow yellow fish that will then be used in the Liskeard Carnival on Saturday 1st July. If you are unable to make this day they are also holding the event on the 24th June at the Liskerrett Centre in Liskeard, it is something for the whole family to enjoy and is a free event with all materials supplied.
On Sunday July 2nd the Yellow Fish Scheme will be at Polraen Country House Hotel, Sandplace in the Looe Valley. The day will be filled with fun and performances with dance troupes, puppet shows, a ukelele band all in attendance. Looe Valley and other Cornish producers will also be showcased at the event. Be sure not to miss the parade before the event where school children from Looe and Liskeard will carry Yellow Fish 'lanterns'/willow structures (made at the workshops) through Looe or Liskeard and travel by train on the Looe Valley Line from each end of the line to alight at Sandplace Station before parading along to Polraen Country House Hotel. It will be a great day to support a fantastic cause.
They will also be at various pop up events throughout the summer.
